Layouts and mobile navigation

Repair overlapping text, broken page sections, clipped content, menus that will not open and controls that are difficult to use on small screens. Checks should include the affected page and nearby pages that use the same layout.

Forms, carts and interactive features

Trace a failed inquiry form, product option, cart update or other action from the visitor’s click to the result. A message that says “sent” is useful only when the intended record or delivery can also be checked.

Tests involving orders, payments or outgoing messages need a safe test method agreed for that site.

Updates, hosting and availability

Investigate errors after a software update, missing files after a move, certificate problems and differences between a test copy and the live server. Where possible, compare with a known working copy and keep a way back before releasing a repair.

Slow or unfinished websites

Find what delays an important page or task before replacing the whole site. For unfinished work, identify what is usable, what is missing and which changes would make the first useful version ready.
